About the role
This position will report to the CTO and work on a strategic level across a portfolio of cutting-edge enterprise software ventures. We are looking for a talented and motivated manager to drive project implementations from definition to deployments.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the CTO and Director of Software development to manage the portfolio of software development projects.
- Disciplined, organized and a pro-active communicator you will be responsible for preparing and following complex project plans including detailed project task and resource management.
- With an attention to detail, you will follow up with all resources and stakeholders to drive projects through the lifecycle of software development using waterfall methodologies initially and agile for follow up releases during a project’s life-cycle.
- Communicate with the leadership team to ensure on-time updates and manage deviations with practical recommendations.
- Organize and lead meetings to report progress and resolve any project related issues with stakeholders.
- Manage project timelines, risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Ensure that all projects comply with company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the software development process.
- Communicate effectively across a globally distributed team
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree holder in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields;
- Minimum 10 years experience as a developer in the software industry
- Minimum 5 years project management experience (ideally through full SDLC - software development life cycle);
- Demonstrate a passion for solving problems
- Strong experience with business software solution implementations
- Proven experience managing complex enterprise level software development projects
- Strong project management skills, including project planning, risk management, and stakeholder management.
- Proficient in Project and DevOps management tools
- Strong working experience working with both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
- Knowledge of latest software development best practices and standards.
- Collaborative and team player to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication in English
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
